    • TIME IT

      Pushing yourself to exercise for long periods doesn’t actually have any added benefit, so limit your cardio workouts to 30-40 minutes.

      STRENGTH TRAINING

      Aerobic exercise alone is not enough for losing weight—strength training converts fatty tissue to muscle, which increases your metabolism and the rate at which you burn fat.

      PILATES

      Once you are closer to your target weight, sign up for pilates. It’s the only workout that will actually flatten that stubborn little bump on your lower abs, correct your posture and lengthen your muscles for that long, toned look.
