    PEARL OF THE ORIENT
Longchamp’s opening of the largest flagship store in Asia at the auspiciously numbered 8, Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong, received the sort of fanfare that had international guests surrounded by a thronging crowd of bystanders waiting to get a glimpse of their favourite stars. Rubberneckers craned for a glimpse of the inimitable Kate Moss cutting the ribbon alongside Longchamp’s Cassegrain family including CEO Jean Cassegrain and Artistic Director Sophie Delafontaine. Designed by the formidable architectural team led by Eric Carlson of Carbondale in Paris, the store boasts 400 sq meters of glorious retail space that references Longchamp’s 63 year heritage but also incorporates Oriental touches in the paintings by Liu Wei. The exclusive guest list featured many of Hong Kong’s social elite including Sir David Tang and Asian stars Vivian Chow and Carina Lau.
